Shoko Gamo

Born in 1983 Shoko Gamo started studying the piano in Japan at the age of five. She continued her studies with Victoria MELKI, the professor of piano at École Normale de Musique de Paris.

In 2004 she was awarded a First Prize with the special jury's prize. In the same year she started studying at the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique with Georges PLUDERMACHER, Francois-Frederic GUY and Claire DESERT.

She won a number of prizes in many international competitions and has played concerts in Europe and Japan.

In 2007 she became the resident pianist of TRIO ROMANTIQUE with Guy DANGAIN (clarinet) and Valerie YENG-SENG (soprano).
