Artist info

Clare Jones

Clare Jones read classics at Oxford. She trained as a sighted Braille music transcriber, while working privately as an accompanist. She made her Wigmore Hall début as a member of the Andresier Ensemble. She then developed solo work, obtaining her Fellowship in 2001. She now divides her time between ballet accompaniment, private teaching and solo engagements in Greater London, Europe, New York and South America. She recently played in the St. John's Harrow Concert Series and at St. Martin's in the Bull Ring, Birmingham. Future plans include the Chapel Royal, Brighton; St. Andrew's and St.George's, Edinburgh; and a concerto performance in Perugia (Italy). Clare recently played in the Satie Marathon "Vexations" at Kings Place (Kings Cross).
