Gisela Meyer was born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

She undertook undergraduate studies (piano and cello) in Frankfurt and piano (postgraduate) in Weimar, taking a strong interest in Chamber Music and Song Accompaniment. In London, she trained as an accompanist (Mmus) at the Guildhall School for Music and Drama, and later complemented her studies with a Grade 8 certificate in Voice (Guildhall 2006).

Gisela works as pianist, accompanist and teacher privately and for the City Lit. She also coaches singers and instrumentalists and composes for film. She performs regularly in concerts in and outside of London.

In her work as composer, Gisela has composed music for five short films by Erdogan Gilgil (, several of which have been screened at International Film Festivals. In 2012, she completed the original music for her first feature film, “Shadows of My Guilt”, by the same director, which was screened for the press in November 2012 and has been sent off to several festivals.

Gisela lives in Islington, London with her partner and their three small children.

St Sepulchre-without-Newgate, also known as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (Holborn), is an Anglican church in the City of London. It is located on Holborn Viaduct, almost opposite the Old Bailey. In medieval times it stood just outside ("without") the now-demolished old city wall, near the Newgate. It has been a living of St John's College, Oxford, since 1622.
