Artist info :

The AJSW have kindly been invited to organise a number of concerts at 'St George's Bristol' over the preceding years. It has been a privilege to do so and for the experience it gives the musicians we organise at such a venue of eminence in the classical music world.

The embryonic introduction of our Chamber Music Ensemble saw the light at St George’s in November 2011 which included ‘8 Hands on Two Pianos’ in an extended lunch-time concert.

Over the years the AJSW CME has evolved with musicians from all over the world playing for it but for this concert we present an all Japanese musicians line-up. They represent the very best and technically well trained classical musicians of a Japan blessed with a schools music programme that is one of the best in the world which filters up through to society in general with many talented musicians among such as office workers! Some later diversify into such as jazz and pop music.

The concert presented this time is the AJSW CME’s 6th at St George’s since Nov 2011 which we hope you will enjoy as much as the musicians have in presenting it.

Venue: St George’s Bristol

St George's Bristol was built in the 1820s and was originally known as the church of St George's Brandon Hill. When the church fell into disuse in the 1970s, it was taken over by a group of local music enthusiasts who turned it into a popular concert venue. The building was extensively refurbished in 1999, and has established itself as one of the country's leading venues for a diverse range of musical genres.

It is situated not far from Bristol Cathedral, a short walk from Park Street. The entrances are on Great George Street (Box Office entrance) and Charlotte Street (disabled access).

Visit the St George’s Bristol website for more information.
